Our Company Participates in Middle East Bus Shelter Design on July 8, 2020

Date: July 8, 2020

On July 8, 2020, our company officially announced its participation in the design of bus shelters for the Middle Eastern market, marking a strategic entry into the region’s booming public infrastructure development sector. This collaboration, with local transportation authorities and urban planning firms, aims to create innovative shelter solutions that address the unique needs of Middle Eastern cities—blending practicality, modern aesthetics, and commercial functionality to elevate public transportation experiences.

At the heart of the design proposal is a novel and forward - thinking (shape and structure) that breaks away from traditional bus shelter designs. Drawing inspiration from the Middle East’s rich architectural heritage—such as geometric patterns and flowing lines—and integrating contemporary urban design trends, the shelters feature sleek, modular structures with curved canopies and transparent side panels. The canopies, crafted from lightweight yet durable materials, are engineered to provide maximum shade against the region’s intense sunlight while minimizing wind resistance, ensuring stability during occasional sandstorms. The transparent panels, made from shatter - resistant polycarbonate, allow natural light to filter through, creating a bright and open waiting space for commuters, while also offering protection from dust and sudden rain showers. This unique (design) not only enhances the visual appeal of urban streets but also reflects the modernization efforts of Middle Eastern cities.

Beyond its striking appearance, the design fully caters to commuters’ boarding needs with thoughtful, user - centric features. The shelters are equipped with ergonomically designed seating—with adjustable backrests and weather - resistant cushioning—to ensure comfort during long waits. Clear, high - visibility digital information displays are integrated into the shelter structure, providing real - time bus arrival updates, route maps, and emergency alerts in both Arabic and English, catering to the region’s diverse population. Additionally, the shelters include dedicated spaces for accessibility, such as ramps for wheelchair users and wide entryways to accommodate strollers and luggage, ensuring inclusivity for all commuters.

Crucially, the design also seamlessly incorporates advertising functionality to unlock commercial value for local stakeholders. Strategically placed, weather - proof advertising panels are integrated into the shelter’s side walls and canopy headers—these panels are designed to be easily replaceable and compatible with both static billboards and digital displays, offering flexibility for advertising partners. The advertising areas are positioned to maximize visibility for pedestrians and passing vehicles without obstructing commuters’ view of bus arrivals or access to the shelter. This dual - purpose design allows local transportation authorities to generate additional revenue through advertising partnerships, which can be reinvested into public transportation upgrades—creating a sustainable cycle of infrastructure improvement.

During the design phase, our team worked closely with Middle Eastern partners to conduct in - depth market research, analyzing local climate conditions, commuting patterns, and cultural preferences. This collaborative approach ensured that the design not only meets international standards for safety and durability but also resonates with the region’s unique urban landscape and user needs. Local officials praised the proposal, noting that it “balances innovation with practicality, offering a solution that enhances both public service and economic value.”

Our participation in the Middle East bus shelter design project showcases our company’s expertise in creating region - tailored infrastructure solutions. As the design moves toward the implementation phase, we remain committed to delivering high - quality, functional, and aesthetically pleasing shelters that will contribute to the development of efficient, user - friendly public transportation systems in the Middle East. Looking ahead, we aim to deepen our presence in the region, leveraging our design capabilities to address more public infrastructure challenges and build long - term partnerships with local stakeholders.
